Vandals Beat Bowling Green in Humanitarian Bowl! →
Perhaps I’m a little too excited about this, but it’s been a long time between reasons to celebrate for Idaho football.
Three and Out
Watching the Vikings play on Monday Night Football - and I’ve been hearing a lot of Three and Out. They don’t look like their hearts are in it.
Is there anything else in life where the phrase three and out is used?
Cars, Houses, Jobs, Kids?
I guess anytime your heart isn’t in it - three and out is probably safest.
What we need are more Going for it on Fourth Down attitudes.
Good Dog
This afternoon we had to put down our dog, Roswell. She was diagnosed with a degenerative liver disease, and had been in declining health for a couple of months. This last week she really was not feeling well, and stopped eating or drinking unless we put the food directly in her kennel. The boys had no interest in the love story, or really any scene without a monster/robot/spaceship, so treats are essential to keeping them focused.
That said, the movie was very good. I didn’t for a moment think that...
it's going to snow
After a brief respite in the Birmingham AL, for work, I am back to the now frozen north. Blizzard warnings are out, and based on traffic this morning, people are staying home.
I don’t know why, but seems to make the cold weather more bearable. Of course, in March when that same snow that will fall tonight is still on the ground, I might have a different opinion.
A Day of Penance
After a week on the road - leaving Jenny alone with the boys (and her own work) - I’ve earned a day of penance.
First up is a home showing of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (the live action version - including the terrible music).
Next up, a quick visit to a bookstore.
And later, a birthday party.
A day with the boys is really more party than penance.
